How does the Dea Athena system work?
Dea Athena is a modular lighting system created for flexible, precise, and architectural ceiling integration. The system is built around two main elements: lighting modules and frames. Every project starts with selecting the size of the lighting module. Modules are available in three sizes: XS, S, and M. This choice defines the required ceiling cut-out and the matching frame. The naming of frames follows a clear logic — always from the outside shape to the inside module shape. The first part defines the outer shape of the frame: Rondo for round or oval, Quadra for square or rectangular. The second part indicates the shape of the module inside: Rondo for round modules, Quadra for square modules. For example, Rondo / Rondo means round outside and round module. Quadra / Quadra means square outside and square module. Trimless frames are marked with TL, while trimmed versions are marked with TR. Trimless frames (TL) integrate fully into the ceiling, leaving only the light visible after finishing. They also allow multiple modules to connect directly, creating continuous lines or compositions with precise distances between modules. Trimmed frames (TR) provide a visible border around the luminaire. Single frames are available in round (Rondo) or square (Quadra) versions. Double frames are always rectangular or oval on the outside, depending on the version chosen. Frames are available in black or white as standard. Other colours are available on request.
